A team from Wildspace and the charity Turn to Starboard (T2S) delivered a unique water based adventure involving a 92’ tall ship Schooner, sea kayaks and wild camping.
Exeter College students helped plan this adventure with guidance from the Wildspace team.
David Young – Outdoor Adventure Lecturer, Exeter College had this to say:
“Wildspace offered a truly unique experience for our students and with their considerable knowledge of the industry we were able to deliver a residential trip that met our specific learning outcomes.
“From tall ship sailing to sea kayaking and wild camping, throughout the whole process our students were guided through the planning, participation and leading of activities. They gained invaluable first-hand experiences that will remain with them on their journeys into the outdoor adventure industry. We will most definitely be returning with our students in the future.”
Vicky Corbin- Foundation Degree student, Exeter College said:
“We were fully involved in route planning and decision making for a two-day expedition including sea kayaking, wild camping and crewing a traditional sailing ship. Even though this was my very first experience of sea kayaking I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges set whilst being secure in the knowledge that my safety and welfare were paramount at all times. I would highly recommend Wildspace Adventures.”
